Stories Through Our Own Lens
Rohingya Photographic Society is a Rohingya-led collective of photographers, storytellers, artists, documentary filmmakers, and visual creators. We document daily life, culture, memory, identity, and resilience through photography and visual storytelling.
Based in the Rohingya refugee community in Bangladesh, we create space for Rohingya voices to be seen, heard, and preserved through our own perspectives and experiences.

FOUNDER
Ro Yassin Abdumonab
Resilient Journalist & Producer Documentarian | Social Activist
Forced to flee Myanmar in 2017, I found my voice in the refugee camps of Bangladesh through the lens of a camera. Today, I am an award-winning freelance photojournalist and humanitarian whose work has been featured in The New York Times, Reuters, BBC, and The Guardian. As the founder of the Rohingya Photographic Society, I mentor young refugees to document our shared history and advocate for change.
